Last meeting HoPS have field trip out Fox Island Brewing. Jim Dignam owner and brewer gave us a tour and tasting of the 300 sq ft. brewery. He spent time talking about equipment needed to run a small home brewery, how to clean/sanitizing the fermenters and kegs, DIY walking cooler and the temperature controller that used on his fermentation chamber. Then he went over what he had to do and what was needed to open a brewery in a home. Last he talked his goal to open barn-like tap room/brewery where is son ran the day to day and he spent his time brewing. Fox Island Brewing beer is on tap at Zog’s, The Hub in Gig Harbor and Tides Tavern.
